Hi, I'm Kariem — aka karzocode

I'm a Computer Science student at New Mansoura University (level 2) and a Full Stack Developer who works with the MERN stack — MongoDB, Express, React and Node.js. I'm based in El Mahalla El Kubra, Egypt, and I spend most of my time turning ideas into products: designing the database, building the API, crafting the UI, and wiring it all together.

My journey started the way most do — with curiosity. I wrote my first HTML page and was fascinated that something I typed could show up on a screen. That fascination became JavaScript, then the backend, then the whole stack. Today, nothing makes me happier than seeing an end-to-end feature ship: from a Mongoose schema, through an Express route, to a React component that just works.

University gives me the fundamentals — algorithms, data structures, and how computers actually think. Side projects give me the real world — deadlines, debugging, and designing for real users. I try to take the best of both and ship something every week.

I'm open to internships, freelance work, and collaboration. If you have a project that needs someone who cares about the details — from the schema to the pixel — let's talk.

currently-learning

goals

Short-term

  • Land a software engineering internship
  • Ship 2–3 more real-world full-stack projects
  • Contribute to open source
  • Build in public and document the journey

Long-term

  • Become a senior full stack engineer
  • Design systems that scale gracefully
  • Launch products that people actually use
  • Keep learning — one commit at a time
